List of top 10 Passers 2011 Career Service Examination

The list of Top 10 passers for the Career Service Sup-professional and Professional Examinations held last May 22, 2011 will be posted here once the results will be released by Civil Service Commission.

A total of 12,207 individuals passed the career service written examinations held nationwide last May 22, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) reported.
Ronald Cesar V. Castillejos and Sandino Jose G. Manliclic, both from the National Capital Region (NCR), shared the top spot in the Professional level with a rating of 84.63. Paul Michael V. Corpuz, also from NCR, got the highest score in the Sub-Professional test with an 84.79 rating.
There were 81,599 examinees of the Professional level and 16,178 examinees of the Sub-Professional level.

Castillejos, who took the May 22 test on his first attempt, was elated to learn of the results. “I was surprised. I didn’t expect I will get the highest score from the batch,” he said.
The 30-year old contractual employee of Home Development Mutual Fund added that passing the examination was the result of preparation. “I reviewed during weekends. I slept early the night before to make sure I arrive early at the exam venue. That helped ease my jitters,” said Castillejos.
Completing the list of Top 10 passers for the Professional level are Steven Mario P. Yan (Southern Tagalog), 84.59; Lovely Noryflor O. Villafuerte (S. Tagalog), 84.50; Milliscent Charisse S. Ramos (NCR), 84.44; Reinier T. De Guzman (NCR), 84.32; Olive Ann Jennifer T. Valdez (Cordillera Administrative Region), 84.31; Rinel C. Natividad and Edward Andrew P. Rogel (NCR), 84.29; Marianne R. Rosario (NCR), 84.23; Caesar Roderick L. Tado (Eastern Visayas), 84.21; and Onnel B. Dalisay (Davao Region), 84.19.
For the Sub-Professional level, the top passers are Kristofer Rei P. NuevaespaƱa (Western Visayas), 84.75; Alyzia Andrea E. Adorna (NCR), 84.64; Elly Raymond M. Padilla (Bicol region), 84.56; Raziel Mae R. Pascual (Ilocos region), 84.54; Pamela P. Quezada (Ilocos region), 84.43; Dorothy Ann U. Lopez-Dee (NCR) and Rose Ann Q. Ruguian (Ilocos region), 84.31; Reina Joanna S. Bautista (NCR), 84.28; Carolyn C. Jaugan (Central Visayas) and Isabella Mae N. De Jesus (Bicol region), 84.20; and Karen M. Idio (Ilocos region), 84.08.
The CSC said that passing the Professional examination would earn one a Professional eligibility appropriate for appointment to any first or second level position in government. On the other hand, Sub-Professional examination passers will be conferred the Sub-Professional eligibility appropriate for first level positions.
Aside from eligibility, an aspirant for a career service position must meet the education, experience and training requirements of the position, stressed the CSC.
The complete list of passers of the May 22 Career Service Professional and Sub-Professional written examinations can be accessed from the CSC website at www.csc.gov.ph. Passers are advised to coordinate with the CSC Regional Office concerned on the requirements and procedure to claim their Certificate of Eligibility (COE). Those who failed may secure a copy of their Report of Rating also through the CSC website.
Statistics
In terms of regional performance, NCR posted the highest passing rate at 19.1 percent or 2,426 passers out of 12,703 examinees. The Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) came in second with 14.57 percent passing rate. Trailing behind are Central Luzon with 13.97 percent, Western Visayas with 13.69 percent and Bicol region with 13.36 percent.
According to the CSC, majority of the passers at 9,154 cited entrance to government as their main reason for taking the career service examination.
The test passers are relatively young as majority of them at 3,943 are aged between 18 to 24 years. The 7,333 female passers outnumbered the males who totaled 4,813.
There were 2,833 passers from the private sector and 1,874 from the government. More than half of the total number of passers at 6,801 or 55.71 percent is unemployed, while self-employed passers numbered 442.
Data further show that 6.8 percent of the total passers or 830 are members of cultural or indigenous community or group.
The new eligibles also cited the occupational services in which they find themselves most suited in terms of knowledge, skills and qualifications. These are human resource, social science and welfare service; general administrative service; financial service; mathematics, physical and biological science service; tourism and industry service; executive service; foreign relations service; art and information service; and education, library, museum and archival service.
